Fish Market, Vessels & Fishery products

This section carries out Official Controls on fishing vessels for fresh fish. These are inspected to ensure that the minimum hygiene standards of primary production are adhered to. Furthermore, Factory vessels and Freezer vessels are audited to ensure that self-check systems and good manufacturing practices are in place. Samples of fish are collected and tested for the presence of residues and contaminants in accordance with the National Residues Control Plan.
